Amaliris Guerra, PhD
Founder & Principal Consultant
Dr. Guerra brings more than a decade of experience leading federally and industry-funded biomedical programs from concept through execution. Her training includes Temple University, the University of Pennsylvania, and Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
Her research experience spans iron metabolism and transferrin biology, erythroid biology, lentiviral gene therapy, TGF-β signaling, immune profiling, and complex animal-model design. She has a particular interest in how iron availability and signaling shape inflammation, immune function, and blood-cell development.
She has published in leading peer-reviewed journals, including Blood, and contributed to intellectual property across hematologic therapeutics.
Alongside her research, Dr. Guerra brings experience in college-level biology teaching, experimental-design instruction, and research mentorship. Her educational approach combines active learning, critical evaluation of evidence, and inclusive mentoring to help students develop scientific independence.
